Coding Instructor (For Kids and Teens)

This is remote opportunity and you will be able to share your knowledge with kids and teens.

• Weekday availability 9AM-7AM WAT. Weekend availability a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field AND/OR currently enrolled in an accredited education program in Computer Science or a related field
• Strong knowledge of Python, JavaScript, and Lua. Familiarity with HTML, CSS; comfortable teaching K-12 students
• Ability to conduct classes in a remote classroom environment with minimal distractions
• Camera-confident; ability to foster an engaging, fun and meaningful connection with learners in a remote setting
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced start-up – be resourceful when needed; embrace change and showcase adaptability in a dynamic environment
• Clear and responsive communication in Slack and email
• Detail-oriented with administrative task
• Identifies with CodeGummy's vision to help kids and teens start building solutions that will change the world around them. 

• Instruct students aged 7-17 in Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Scratch and Lua
• Send prompt personalized updates, feedback, and reports.
• Collaborate with Online Classes teams to identify pain points and coordinate class scheduling
• Maintain student attendance sheet and admin protocols
• Participate in CodeGummy instructor meetings and new product training with CodeGummy’s Online Classes team
• Promote an appreciation and passion for Coding amongst our students
